We are an organisation established in 1989 by the members of the Helsinki Committee in Poland.
Our mission is - the development of the human liberties and rights culture, both domestically and abroad.
Since 2007 we have Consultative Status with the United Nation's Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

Polish Press Agency (PAP): The Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights to the EC regarding the death penalty
On Friday, the President of the Board of the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights, Marek Nowicki, turned to the Head of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso regarding Poland's position on the death penalty. He underlined that "the personal views of Polish citizens on this issue are essentially diversified"
